This makes complete sense to an industry that is 100% about personal interaction. In my opinion, you can generate no only a higher quantity of clients through video but more importantly quality of clients that are attracted and identify with your style and personality.
I have seen a few videos done for stylists and can't say enough about them. They are extremely effective for both customer and stylist. The cost of a video can be just over the price of a box of high quality business cards but you will never run out. Video can be spread farther and faster online than business cards can and, according to Anupam Gupta, video is more effective in increasing interaction.
